Nevada Basketball Academy Team Selection & Participation Policy

Purpose:

Nevada Basketball Academy (NVBA) is committed to providing a high-quality, development-focused basketball experience. Team and program selections are made based on player readiness, skill level, behavior, and overall fit with our coaching philosophy and team dynamics.

1. Tryout & Selection Process:

    •    Limited Capacity: Due to roster size limits, not all interested players will be guaranteed a tryout or team placement.

    •    Selective Participation: Acceptance is determined by NVBA coaching staff based on skill level, coachability, attitude, and overall program fit.

    •    Invitation-Only Programs: Certain teams or training groups may be invite-based, at the sole discretion of the coaching staff.

2. Evaluation Criteria:

Players are evaluated on:

    •    Basketball Skills & Fundamentals

    •    Coachability & Work Ethic

    •    Behavior & Sportsmanship

    •    Program Fit: Compatibility with team dynamics and developmental goals

Note: NVBA reserves the right to make selection decisions based on the holistic evaluation of players.

3. Program Availability:

    •    Capacity Restrictions: Teams and training groups have fixed capacity limits. Waitlists may be offered if rosters are full.

    •    Seasonal Re-Evaluations: Player placement is re-evaluated seasonally and is not guaranteed across sessions.

    •    Right to Refuse Participation: NVBA reserves the right to decline participation if a player does not align with program goals, behavior expectations, team dynamics, or program fit.

4. Anti-Discrimination Clause:

NVBA does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, disability, or any other protected status. All decisions regarding participation are based on objective factors such as skill level, behavior, team dynamics, and program fit.
